Miss Amanda's Gordon Toasts | A Lakes Region Montessori

1/2 cup mayo
16 oz. sharp cheddar, shredded
1 small onion, minced
8 oz. crumbled crispy bacon
3/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 loaf of dense sliced white bread

Mix all of the ingredients (except for the bread) in a bowl. Cut crusts off the bread and spread the mixture onto the bread. Toast at 425 degrees until brown and bubbly. Cut into triangles and serve.

This recipe freezes well up to three moths. Just prepare as above, except don't put them in the oven. Freeze them on a cookie sheet and once frozen, you can place them in a freezer bag.

Easter Potluck | A Lakes Region Montessori

The Easter potluck was very well attended! The children gathered for circle-time while an Easter egg hunt was orchestrated outside. Then the children were off to find the eggs! After some outside time, the group shared a wonderful meal provided by all the parents. Thank you for your support!

It's so simple! Here's how it works:
-Sign up at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs On the parent page, click the "register" button in the "First Time Here?" section. Register for your own user name and password. When prompted, enter the one-time Class Activation code (HV8ML). This unique code ensure that your order is sent to me.
-Select the books you would like to order- choose from thousands of titles- many more than in our monthly flyers.
-Send your order to me online by the due date (April 22nd), and your child's books will be delivered directly to my classroom.

Ordering online is fast, easy, and secure. Of course, you can still order using the form from the printed flyer. But why not see for yourself how convenient it is to order online?

the world is good to me | A Lakes Region Montessori blog

There are many daily traditions at ALRM. At lunchtime, the children wash their hands and line up. They have a moment of silence and then sing the following song before sitting down to eat:

Oh, the world is good to me
And so I thank the world
for giving me
the things I need
the sun and the rain
and appleseeds
oh, the world is good to me
Bon appetit
now you may eat!

Re-enrollment Time | A Lakes Region Montessori School

Dear Parents,

It is re-enrollment time at A Lakes Region Montessori. I have given each parent a new financial application form which needs to be filled out and returned on or before April 15th along with the yearly supply fee of $225. Please note that as we will run only one Montessori preschool class, I expect to have a full classroom. No space will be saved without the supply fee and financial form returned. I have also made the summer enrollment form available for those who are interested. Older siblings are welcome to enroll in this program as well.

I would like to note that I have NOT raised tuition for next year. I think that times are hard for everyone and have decided to keep things as they are. Any family choosing to pay the full year in advance will receive a 10% discount.

We are also enrolling for the infant and toddler program as well. We intend to enroll four infants only, leaving ten spots open for toddlers. If you need a financial application form for this program, please let me know.

As always, I would like to thank all of the families who support our school. It is a pleasure to have you as a part of the school community.

Sincerely,

Teacher Robyn and staff
