A Turtle Work

Classroom 1 continues the study of the turtle. This work helps students identify the parts of the turtle. First, the student matches three sets of cards that detail the parts of the turtle. Once that is complete, the student completes her own "turtle book," where she colors certain parts of the turtle on each page and writes the part below the picture.

Classroom 1

Classroom 1 welcomes our students back from the holiday vacation. The first week back, we began really exploring the math materials and are now back at it with language, math, and a free choice work items.

We will begin this new year with the study of the turtle, followed by the study of the bear at the end of the month.

Snow is falling..... | New Hampton NH Preschool

January 10, 2011

Dear Parents,

The snow will be falling, softly falling, gently to the ground...and I want to let everyone know how I will handle any major snowstorm events this year. If the snow fall is significant, then please tune into WMUR Channel News 9. In most cases, I will not offer AM preschool, but remain open for those students enrolled in a full day program. I may delay for two hours if we have not been plowed out. In that case, it will be reported as no AM Preschool and two hour delay. As always, any wishing to stay warm and snugly at home will happily be excused for the day.

Stay Safe,
With love and peace,
Teacher Robyn

Preschool 2

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a great holiday vacation! The students all seem to be happy to be back and excited to be working again.

We are beginning our study of the bear. The children find this very interesting and are eager to learn fun facts about the bear. Please feel free to help you child learn something about bears at home, and s/he can share this fact at school!

We are going back to the basics in January and have begun doing our phonics and numbers at circle time. We will be doing our workbooks and a math work every day.

Parents, thank you for all your support; we couldn't do this without you!

If anyone has any "bear" related story books, the class would love to borrow them.

Thank you and Happy New Year!
Teacher Heather
